 Daycare Registration

Because of state regulatory changes, Shelby County Public Schools’ after-school programs were required to become licensed daycare facilities during the 2008-2009 school year.  Changes have been implemented for the 2009-2010 school year, stemming from visits to nearby daycare programs by and input from a group of parents representing each elementary school.

Registration for daycare slots opens today for students. Program brochures are available at Central Office and each elementary school that outline hours of operation (after-school) and costs (ranging from $40 to $60 weekly).

A $25 registration fee is due upon enrollment. A District Daycare Manager is being hired and can be reached at 633-5123. In the meantime, contact Central Office 633-2375 with questions. Registration forms should be submitted to the elementary school where your child will be enrolled in daycare.
