Animal shelter applications sought
The Kentucky Animal Control Advisory Board is seeking applications from county governments for shares of $3 million in grant money to provide funding for animal shelter construction and improvements.
“Animal control is an issue of public safety and health,” said Irvine veterinarian Linda K. Grimes, who chairs the Animal Control Advisory Board. “We encourage all counties to apply so they may better care for unwanted animals and improve the quality of life of their communities.”
