Address: 610 Main St., Shelbyville
Who we are: Cheryl Poore is the former owner of THE MALL at Governors Square that lost its lease in October. She has 25 years of business experience, including a seven year stint with Motherhood Boutiques, in which she managed 22 stores across the country. Her love of retail led her to open a much-needed store in downtown Shelby County, where people could drop in for a great new look or for the perfect gift for someone. She also is a real-estate agent.
What we do: Tipsy Gypsy offers a full array of women’s clothing with a country chic vibe. The story carries boots, purses, lots of jewelry, “Real Housewives of Shelby County” shirts, candles, pet couture, little diva tu-tus and bows, box signs and other home décor, corn-hole boards, sports gnomes, oak accessories, garden flags, rugs, U of K and U of L merchandise and much more.
What we say: “We are something new and different that Shelbyville hasn’t seen for a long time,” Poore said. “Our pieces are all hand-picked. Our flare is for the unique. Real fashion for real people. We dress you from head to toe with unique accessories and also add some fun to your home. Our jewelry is fabulous and purses are out of this world!!"
Hours:Daily 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and later on Friday, Saturday 10-6 and Sunday 12-5.
