Physical: 178 Midland Blvd., Shelbyville
Who we are: KRAP is owned by Rebecca Perez, who was born in Shelbyville. She has always had an eye for fashion and has dabbled in modeling. She has an associate’s degree in business management from Sullivan University. She started the company in October 2011 and ran it out of peddler's malls in both Louisville and Shelbyville, where she sold “other people's crap. When she raised money to rent her own building and open a store, the unusual name came to mind.
What we do: KRAP offers a variety of men’s and women’s apparel, accessories, shoes, handbags, home décor and furniture. The story also carries a selection of unique artwork by Coveted Images, another locally owned business.
What we say: “As a consumer I am always looking for the latest fashion styles at reasonable prices, and I know others are, too,” Perez said. “I have found a way to turn something that I love into a job and pass my savings onto others.”
