The new assistant principal at Painted Stone Elementary considers being an educator “a calling, not a profession. In college, I knew I wanted to work with kids and that this would be the best way to help people and make an impact on society.” Damon Stefanic has been a teacher for 11 years, handling middle school science classes in Texas three years, Jessamine County two years and Scott County six years. A graduate of Westchester University in Philadelphia, Stefanic has a master’s from Eastern Kentucky University.
