Last year, amid the incredible learning moments I observed in classrooms and conversations with parents, teachers and community members, I heard one thing clearly: “We all want to move our students to attain even higher levels of achievement.”
Nowhere is this more obvious than at Shelby County High School, where a new concerted effort is dramatically boosting results. The number college credits granted for rigorous Advanced Placement courses increased by 312 percent since 2006, climbing:
