Minnis carries Rockets over Fern Creek

The SCHS baseball team was gunning for a 7-0 record in the region, but they will have to settle for a perfect 6-0. The Rockets' game at Simon Kenton Wednesday was called in the fourth due to the weather.

The Rockets were trailing 4-3, but had the tying run on second with no outs.

Shelby did get a game finished on Tuesday, a 2-1 win over Fern Creek.

The Rockets were trailing 1-0 when Coty Minnis hammered a shot to left-center in the fourth, clearing the scoreboard and the netting behind the fence to give the Rockets the lead.
