Man dies unexpectedly while working on air conditioner

A local man was found dead late Monday night by a couple who had hired him to repair their air conditioner unit, according to Shelbyville police detective, Bruce Gentry.

Kenneth Peting, 65, of Simpsonville, was repairing the unit at a residence when he was found deceased by the couple when they returned home that evening, Gentry said.
