At the age of 5, Mckenzie Thorp was astonished when she found out that she could grow her hair to help give another less-fortunate child hair just like everyone else. Three and a half years later, with an extra 11 inches of hair to donate, she met her goal and sent her hair to the Wigs for Kids foundation. Wigs for Kids is a private, non-profit organization relying solely on donations to make durable, custom hair replacement systems that look just as a child’s natural hair would.
