They needed every bit of nine innings and more than three hours, but the Shelbyville American Legion Post 37 baseball team came back from a 9-1 deficit to beat Morehead, 11-10, on the road Wednesday.

After jumping out to a 1-0 lead on Justin McCarty’s RBI single in the top of the first, Shelbyville went ice cold.

Morehead scored nine unanswered runs during the next five innings to grab a seemingly safe lead.

But Post 37 would not be denied.
