Four law enforcement officers showed up in classrooms at the Shelby County Education Center @ Cropper before Spring Break to motivate students to stay on the right track, according to Principal Jeff Johnson (far left). Detective Bruce was from the Shelbyville Police Department, Deputy Johnson from Shelby County Sheriff's Office (pictured at left) and two officers from Jefferson County. Comments from the four included: "You have to help yourself" - "Our job is not to prosecute but to help" - "I struggled in high school but my teachers had faith in me so I worked hard for them" - "I love keeping kids on the right track" - "You can do whatever you dream and it will come true" - "You need a high school diploma so take your studies and tests seriously" - "Correct spelling and grammar is required in any job" - "Be sure to hang with people who are going to help you be successful."
