I just got home from a night that started with the Collins-Shelby County girl-boy basketball doubleheader and ended at the KFC Yum! Center with Louisville's overtime victory over Vanderbilt. I'm too amped up to sleep (plus one of my favorite movies from 1990 - House Party - is on TV), so let's blog...
1. I still think UofL misses Preston Knowles, but not as much as I did before the Cards' game against Vandy on Friday night.
2. Who's ready for the first game of the NBA season - North Carolina at Kentucky - Saturday? I don't care who wins (although at this point I have to give the edge to the Wildcats), but I hope it's a good game. Personally I'm hoping for a rematch in early April.
3. Charlie Strong's name is starting to pop up in regards to some big-time job openings (i.e. Penn State and Texas A&M). Although I don't think Strong is going anywhere any time soon, UofL better make sure it stays, or plays, in a conference that has a BCS berth or he'll be gone in a couple of years.
4. Did Ndamukong Suh deserve to have the appeal of his two-game suspension denied? Heck I think he's lucky he wasn't suspended for more games with his impersonation of Christian Laettener's stomping of Aminu Timberlake.
5. Slightly off topic, but...for the second time in eight days I had to clean up dog poop in my house. Anyone want a bearded collie?
