Lady Rockets whip Spencer, Frankfort

The SCHS volleyball team came to life last week, hammering Spencer County and Franklin County.

Franklin County visited Shelby on Thursday, and the Lady Rockets were in no mood to hang around. The girls dropped Franklin 2-0 (25-15, 25-13) in a quick match.

"The Flyers reminded me of Anderson County," SCHS head coach Felicia Pace said. "They brought a big block out of the middle, and they had tough serves."

Franklin jumped out to a quick 4-0 lead after Shelby County mishandled a few serves. However, the Lady Rockets quickly gained their composure.
