Lady Rockets use OT to top Anderson

The Lady Rockets had to fight, scratch and claw for the 30th District title, and after an extra four minutes, the girls pulled it out, topping Anderson County 53-46 in overtime Friday at Spencer County.

"We beat a very good Anderson County team on Friday," SCHS head coach Sally Zimmerman said. "We match up well with each other, and if we're both fortunate we could meet up again (in the 8th Region Championship)."

The Lady Rockets trailed by two, 10-8, after the first quarter and the gap stayed at two, 21-19, at the half.
