Two years ago the SCHS girls' basketball team traveled to Dunbar and struggled to find any rhythm, losing 61-46. However, the girls ended the 2005-06 season 20-8 record and a trip to the Sweet 16.
After Monday's 67-37 loss at Dunbar, SCHS head coach Sally Zimmerman is no doubt hoping for the same kind of turnaround.
The Lady Bulldogs opened the game with a 10-0 run and never looked back. Dunbar pushed the lead to 21-7 at the end of the first quarter, 30-14 at the half, and then put the subs in leading 54-25 in with 5:50 to play in the game.
