Lady Rockets grab district title in OT

The Shelby County girls' basketball team allowed Anderson County just one field goal in overtime, topping the Lady Bearcats 53-46 to take the Girls' 30th District Basketball Tournament Friday at Spencer County.

The Lady Rockets trailed for most of the game before taking a three-point lead in the fourth. Anderson rallied to tie the game and force OT, but the Lady Rockets would not be denied.

Shelby held Anderson to just one field goal in the extra session, outscoring the Lady Bearcats 11-4.
