Flipped car on Lagrange Road

A man who was ejected from his car in an accident on La Grange Road Friday morning is still hospitalized at the University of Louisville.

Shelby County Sheriff's Deputy Gene Witt said that Scott A. Lynn, 33, of La Grange was traveling southbound on KY 53, about two miles south of the Oldham County line when his car ran off the road.

Witt said Lynn got the car back on the road but overcorrected and ran off the other side, flipping the vehicle three times in the process. The car landed on its top, and Lynn was ejected and thrown some 70 feet.

“He was thrown out into the middle of a field,” Witt said.

Lynn was airlifted to U. of L. where he listed in serious condition in the hospital’s intensive care unit.

Witt said that he does not know what caused Lynn to lose control of this car but does not believe alcohol or drugs was a factor in the crash.

“He was on his way to work,” he said.

Lynn was in intensive care until Tuesday when he was transferred to a private room.
