Police are asking for help in locating the person who stole a jar of charitable donations from a gas-station counter.
The jar contained $150 in cash and change that was supposed to be used for the “Shop with a Cop,” charity that provides winter clothing, shoes and a toy for children in need at Christmas.
The jar was stolen from the Starting Gait Chevron, located at 7117 Shelbyville Road, on Nov. 30 between the hours of noon and 8 p.m., according to store manager Joe Riggs.
