I can use an iPad

A class at Southside Elementary was recently divided into three groups, two with the challenge to work with teachers on “I can subtract with regrouping using base-10 blocks” while the third worked independently on “I can use the iPad appropriately to practice my addition facts.” Ryan Bubenhofer (left) and Michael Brown scooted through the math problems on the computer. Ryan said, “If it’s wrong, it buzzes, and you can delete to try again. It teaches you to do it over and over until you figure it out, and you know it.” Michael agreed: “It lets us learn more. You pay attention to this instead of everybody talking in a group.”
