The City of Simpsonville completed its 2009-10 fiscal year with a budget shortfall of just more than $77,000, which city commissioners will absorb through state-required budget amendments.
Commissioners reviewed those figures during a brief presentation from Finance Commissioner Cary Vowels during their regular meeting Wednesday morning.
The spreadsheet Vowels distributed showed the city’s revenue was about 12 percent over budget, finishing at $986,893, but expenses exceeded budget by 21 percent, rising to $1,064.259.
