Long Run lights show
The Gift of Lights open Thursday and runs through New Year's Day at Long Run Park in Louisville. Times are 6-10 p.m. weeknights and 6-11 p.m. weekends. Cost is $15 per car. Lights Under Louisville
Lights Under Louisville is Saturday through Jan. 3, 2010, in the Mega Caverns, underground in Louisville. Mega Caverns features a one-mile drive through with 35 lighted Christmas displays with more than 300 characters and over one million lights. Community Thanksgiving service
The Shelby County Ministerial Alliance will sponsor its annual Community Thanksgiving service at the Centenary United Methodist Church, 429 Main St., at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Rev. Rick Underwood of Hempridge Baptist Church will officiate.
Thanksgiving meal for seniors

Thanksgiving Gathering
The Shelby County Coalition of Ministers Thanksgiving Gathering is 10:30 a.m. Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, at New Mount Zion. The speaker is the Rev. Robert Marshall. Music will be provided by joint choirs.
Thanksgiving at Mount Vernon
The community-wide Thanksgiving dinner is 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Thanksgiving Day at Mount Vernon Baptist on Hwy. 395, south of I-64. Families and individuals are invited.
Light Up Louisville
The annual Light Up Louisville celebration will be 3-10 p.m. Friday on Jefferson Street between 5th and 6th Streets. The Run Run Rudolph 5K is at 3 p.m.. There is live entertainment throughout the day, Santa arrives at 8, and music lights and fireworks will be at 8:30.
High school theater

Christmas in Mount Eden
Christmas in Mount Eden always is Dec. 4 and will feature a live nativity scene, carolers in sleighs, Santa in Toyland, carriage and trolley rides, country music and a chili supper throughout the center of town and at the fire house.
Winter Blast Festival
Heritage Elementary's Winter Blast Festival with games, food, inflatables, cupcake walk and more is 5-8 p.m. Dec. 4 at the school. All families and friends are invited.
Christmas event at New Castle
Christmas in New Castle is Dec. 4 from 5-8 p.m. There will be Christmas Open House at area businesses, a twilight parade, music, pictures with Santa and more.
Madrigal dinner
The 28th annual Madrigal Dinner and Yuletide Festival is Dec. 4 and Dec. 6 at the First United Methodist Church in Frankfort. The $15 Madrigal Dinner and Play is 6 p.m. in the Wesley Center. The free Festival is 7:15 p.m. in the sanctuary. For information, call (502) 277-7430.

Theater's Winter Fantasy

Our Lady of Guadalupe Academy is pleased to announce our 3rd annual Spirit of Christmas Dance featuring the fabulous Monarchs and a $3,000 raffle prize.
