Students at Heritage Elementary preschool started the week learning about Kentucky and what the Kentucky Derby was all about, including events peripheral to the horse race. Students designed their own silks. They were able to see how hot air balloons were made by using their computer skills. Making stick horses they had a race at the end of the week, finishing up the unit by making mint milk shakes.
