When the 50 new students enroll this fall in the Gatton Academy of Math and Science at Western Kentucky University, Shaye Morarity will be among them. Morarity, a junior at Collins High School, visited WKU when she was in the seventh grade as part of the national recognition for Duke University Talent Identification Program. “I knew then it was something I wanted to do,” she said, who said she wants to be a microbiologist and study viruses.
