The Shelby County girls' softball team dominated during pool play at the Holmes Bulldog Round Robin Tournament, and then held on for a win in the championship game, topping Bracken County 2-1 to take the title Saturday.
"Overall, I was pleased because we went up there and did what we had to do," SCHS head coach Kelly Cable said.
The Lady Rockets had just two hits in the championship game, but took advantage of two Bracken County errors in the decisive fourth inning.
