Former student to represent Kentucky

Julianna Leach, has been chosen to represent Kentucky as a National Youth Delegate to the 2014 Washington D.C. Youth Summit on the Environment at George Mason University this month.

She joins a select group of 250 students from across the country, to participate in an intensive weeklong study of leadership in environmental science and conservation and was chosen based on her academic accomplishments and her demonstrated interest and excellence in leadership in the sciences and conservation studies. She plans to be a conservation officer with the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife.

The daughter of Earl and Ronita Leach, formerly of Shelby County, Julianna Leach is a student at Fleming County High School in Flemingsburg.
