The scene in the movie E.T. where Elliott releases all the live frogs in class before dissection could begin did not occur at East Middle School where a group of over-achievers had their wish granted. Because the sixth- and seventh-graders met or exceeded their MAP (Measure of Academic Progress) goals, they were able to choose dissecting frogs in Amy Frederick-Cooper’s science lab.
