For 31 minutes Tuesday night, the Shelby County boys’ basketball team went toe-to-toe with Iroquois.
It was that final minute, though, that gave the Rockets trouble, as the host Raiders ended Shelby County’s 3-game winning streak with a 55-50 victory.
“We hung in there right with them. It came down to the last minute, and they made plays and we didn’t,” said Rockets Coach Jason Couch, whose team had three turnovers in the final minute, when Iroquois hit four free throws.
