Fancy Nancy at Clear Creek

-A A +A

Kindergarten and first grade girls and their moms attended a Fancy Nancy reading night in the Clear Creek library. The girls were greeted by a very fancy Vicki Stoltz, who shared a Fancy Nancy story with them, and then everyone worked their way through eight stations where they worked on refining their reading and writing skills, as every fancy girl should. At the dazzling stations, girls made glitter bottle reading timers, which also doubled as reading goal wish makers, and they made perfectly posh paint bags, for writing letters and fancy words beautifully. Our wonderful writers used Fancy Nancy poetry journals to create poems and worked with their mothers to enhance their writing vocabularies in a fancy word game. Our spectacular readers wore fancy reading glasses and enjoyed stories together and used magic reading wands to point as they read.
