By The Staff

The Eminence High School archery team finished 11th at the World Competition in Orlando earlier this month.

Coach Rusty Barrett, who also runs Pure Reflection Paint and Collision Repair on 7th Street in Shelbyville, took over after the team’s former coach, Dewayne Douglas, died unexpectedly in January.

Eminence qualified for the international competition based on the team’s performances during the 2008-09 season, in which it finished 36th in the state and 83rd in the nation.
