Eddie Gene Avery, 58, died Tuesday, May 26, 2009 in Shelbyville. 

He was a Baptist and had been employed as an expediter at Shelby Industries where he had worked for 30 years. 

He is survived by his wife, Nancy B. Avery of Shelbyville; daughters Tabitha Avery Overall, Jenny Avery, Jessica Avery, and Cortney Jones all of Shelbyville; sisters Kathy Beavers, Sherry Roberts and June Collins all of Bardstown; brothers Jody Avery of Louisville and Bud Avery of Riverside, Calif.; and seven grandchildren.
