Some Shelby County students soon will be starring in a video they made themselves, denouncing the drug culture and promoting a healthy lifestyle. Their mentor, Elizabeth Lafferty of Shelby Prevention, formerly the Shelby County Drug and Alcohol Prevention Council, said there were 16 students in all from Shelby County High School and East and West Middle Schools. The video, titled New Cool, will be shown before each feature presentation at the Great Escape 8 Theater in Shelbyville, beginning Friday and running for 24 weeks.
