EARLIER: State Golf Tournament may be affected by weather

BOWLING GREEN – The skies finally cleared Thursday as the Lady Rockets finished the first nine of their practice round at Bowling Green Country Club.

The girls peeled off rain gear they'd been wearing since they got under way, but the chance that they'll need it again when the KHSAA Girls State Golf tournament begins today is strong.

In fact, with a 90 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms predicted from morning until dusk, SCHS Coach Anna Simpson said her team is more likely to be playing board games than golf.
