Eagles rip Rockets

The Eastern Eagles raced out to a 20-0 lead early in the first quarter and never looked back Friday, whipping the Rockets 48-25.

Eastern led by as much as 48-13 early in the second half before Shelby County added a field goal and a late touchdown.

The big highlight for the Rockets was Edwin Thomas' 90-yard kickoff return for a touchdown that cut the Eagles lead to 28-14 with four minutes to play until halftime.
