Adam Waggener achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank in the Boy Scouts. His community service project was to build and install eight hitching rails and five benches and to clear one-half mile of walking trails at Shelby Trails Park. Thirty-two scouts and adult leaders of Troop 212, Southeast Christian Church, helped complete the project. This team put in a total of 340 man-hours of work. Adam is the son of Anita and Jim Waggener of Simpsonville.
