Santa comes to Bagdad
Santa will visit the Bagdad Ruritan Club from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Mount Eden Christmas breakfast
Mount Eden Christian Church will host its eighth annual Christmas breakfast on Saturday from 8 to 11 a.m. The community is invited to stop by for food and fellowship.
Festival choir performance
The Festival Choir will present its Christmas concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday at First Christian Church. This is a celebration of the Festival Choir’s 20th anniversary and Rev. Pilkinton’s 25th anniversary as Associate Minister.  There is no admission charge and a nursery is provided. The community is invited to enjoy the sounds of the season.
Holiday performances at Bagdad
The children’s musical play, The Christmas Cupcake will be at 6 p.m. on Sunday at Bagdad Baptist Church. The church is located at 5790 Elmburg Road in Bagdad.
Free gift wrapping
Bring your boxed gifts to Holy Cross Lutheran Church from 2:30 and 5:30 p.m. on Sunday and get them wrapped for free while you wait. Paper, ribbon, bows, tape and tags will be provided. Volunteers will not be able to accommodate oddly shaped or very large gifts and will not have boxes on hand. This is a free service as part of the church’s Grace Happens initiative. Clayvillage Baptist
The Clayvillage Baptist Church choir will be joining the choir at Brownsboro Baptist Church for the Christmas musical at 6:30 p.m. Saturday. The same program will be presented at Clayvillage at 6:30 p.m. Sunday. The church is located at 46 Lawson Lane.
Christiansburg Baptist

Cropper Baptist
Plans are under way for a church-wide “Walk Through Bethlehem” living drama on the evening of Sunday at Cropper Baptist Church.
Elmburg Baptist
The Elmburg Baptist Church youth Christmas program will be presented Sunday, during the morning service and the Adult Christmas program will be on Dec. 23. The church is located at 11307 Elmburg Road.
First Baptist Shelbyville

First Presbyterian
Friends and neighbors are invited to join the congregation of First Presbyterian Church to go Christmas caroling from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday. Meet in the church parking lot at 2 p.m. to carpool. The Christmas Eve services are at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 24. Family Friendly Service; 11 p.m. Candlelight service with Communion.
Christmas at Claudia’s
The annual Christmas at Claudia’s event has moved to a new location, Shelby Industries. The event will begin at 5 p.m.  Monday at 175 McDaniels Road off Pearce Industrial Road. A drive-through will be available for the pickup of gifts for pre-approved families to receive gifts. Refreshments will be available.
‘All Is Well’ at Finchville Baptist
The music department of Finchville Baptist Church will present All Is Well at 7 p.m. next Wednesday. There will be a dinner at 5:30 before the cantata and a dessert reception afterwards, featuring story reading for the kids. A certain special Jolly Ole Elf will make an appearance as well.
Holiday celebration at Red Orchard
There will be holiday festivities and crafts at the Miller Outdoor Education Center from 1 to 4 p.m. Dec. 22. Make your own snow globe, help decorate the center’s tree, watch the Jim Henson classic Emmet Otter’s Jug-Band Christmas, or relax to a cup of hot cider. Burks Branch Baptist
The Christmas cantata will be Dec.  23 during the morning worship service at Burks Branch Baptist Church. That evening there will be a candlelight service, caroling and fellowship at the Prices.
Joey’s Memory Tree
Remember beloved pets this holiday season. For a $5 donation pick an ornament off the tree and replace it with a colored star with your deceased pet’s name on it at Metzgers Country Store in Simpsonville.
