Cross country: Lady Rockets dual with Seton

The SCHS girls’ cross-country team took the top two spots but couldn’t hold off Seton High School (Ohio) on Friday.

Caterina Karas and Taylor Webb were first and second in the 3K race, with times of 11:01 and 11:50, respectively.

However, Seton took seven of the next eight spots to win the meet.

Rounding out Shelby’s to seven were Lindsey Miller in ninth with a time of 12:48, Katie Melanson 12th in 13:25, Alexandrea Schank 13th in 13:27, Kathrin Ulrich 19th in 14:53 and Nettie Melanson 20th in 15:01.
