Anne Kinsolving passes out leis on Luau Lane at the Crescent Place Assisted Living Relay for Life event on Aug. 23. The event was hosted by residents, staff and family members. Residents and staff who are cancer survivors were recognized in the opening survivor ceremony. A humorous and uplifting speech was given by resident J.W. Hundley, a 33-year cancer survivor. Survivors kicked off the relay walk with the survivor lap around the halls. Each hallway was decorated in a theme – a darkened hall held the luminaries, in memory and honor of those who battled cancer.
