Editor’s Note: The Sentinel-News reports all misdemeanor and felony judgments in District Court except juvenile cases. Traffic citations, except for driving under the influence (DUI), are not reported. All civil and small claims suits in District Court are reported. All lawsuits in Circuit Court are reported, with the exception of child custody suits. All the information that is available from official sources each week is published without exception. The newspaper cannot omit any individual qualifying for the listing. Claims may in filing a lawsuit represent only one side of the case.


District court
The following cases were heard by Judge Linda Armstrong:
Pedro E. Canales, alcohol intoxication in a public place - plead guilty - 10-day sentence.
Alex A. Galo, no operator’s/moped license, disregarding stop sign and second-offense failure of owner to maintain required insurance/security - plead guilty - 30-day sentence and $1,000 fine.
Edgar R. Garcia, first-offense DUI - plead guilty - 5-day sentence, operator’s license suspended for 30 days and $728 fine and costs.
Jose Garcia, alcohol intoxication in a public place and second-degree disorderly conduct - plead guilty - 30-day sentence.
Martin Albiter-Plata, alcohol intoxication in a public place - plead guilty - 10-day sentence.
Karlos Hernandez, no/expired registration plates, no/expired Kentucky registration receipt, first-offense failure of owner to maintain required insurance/security, and no operator’s/moped license - plead guilty - 15-day sentence and $540 fine.
Anthony Howell Jr., theft by unlawful taking/shoplifting and alcohol intoxication in a public place - plead guilty - 10-day sentence and $169 fine and costs.
Troy L. Huguley, first-offense failure of owner to maintain required insurance/security - plead guilty - 5-day sentence and $643 fine and costs.
Jacinto M. Lopez, operating on suspended/revoked operator’s license and excessive windshield/window tinting - plead guilty - 30-day sentence.
Emigdio Rafael Marroquin, alcohol intoxication in a public place - plead guilty - 10-day sentence.
Walter Reed, theft by unlawful taking/shoplifting - plead guilty - 180-day sentence, serve 30 days, balance probated for 2 years and $144 costs.
Edgar M. Sanchez, alcohol intoxication in a public place - plead guilty - 10-day sentence.
Casey R. Wagner, first-offense operating on suspended/revoked operator’s license - plead guilty - 17-day sentence and $243 fine and costs.
Florentino Ruiz, first-offense DUI and possession of open alcohol beverage container in a motor vehicle - plead guilty - operator’s license suspended for 30 days and $763 fine and costs.
Rafael A. Carreras, first-offense failure of owner to maintain required insurance/security - plead guilty - insurance monitoring for 12 months and $643 fine and costs, $400 conditionally discharged.
Amber M. Brockway, first-offense failure of owner to maintain required insurance/security - plead guilty - insurance monitoring for 12 months and $643 fine and costs, $400 conditionally discharged.
Juan C. Cortez, no operator’s/moped license - plead guilty - 30-day sentence and $393 fine and costs.
Marqees Duncan, failure to illuminate head lamps and no operator’s/moped license - plead guilty - $413 fine and costs.
Patrick T. French, failure to wear seat belts, possession of open alcohol beverage container in a motor vehicle and first-offense aggravator DUI - plead guilty - 8 days home incarceration program, operator’s license suspended for 30 days and $788 fine and costs.
Danielle J. Harris, speeding 22 mph over limit, operating on suspended/revoked operator’s license and second-offense failure of non-owner operator to maintain required insurance - plead guilty - 30-day sentence probated for 2 years and $1,439 fine and costs.
