Shelby County Fiscal Court approved Tuesday the first reading an ordinance that would allow the county to update its ordinances.

“We just have to do this each year to make sure that our code of ordinance book is up to date,” he said.
Magistrates also approved an updated agreement between the county and a local electrician to get a larger fee for servicing the county’s outdoor emergency sirens.
