Cornerstone wins tournament title

The Cornerstone Christian boys’ basketball team captured the Highlands Latin Tournament this past weekend.

The Bulldogs won a trio of games to capture the title. They beat Holy Angels, 74-28, in their first game, the Academy for Individual Excellence, 72-34, in the semifinals, and Bluegrass Baptist, 54-40, in the final.

Senior Josh Woodward and his younger brother, eighth-grader Michael Woodward, totaled 43 points (14.3 points per) apiece in three games for the Bulldogs (10-2). Junior Nate Oates added 37 points (12.3 ppg).
