Cornerstone boys' JV wins KCAA state tourney

The Cornerstone Christian boys’ basketball junior varsity team captured the Kentucky Christian Athletic Association Junior Varsity Tournament, which it hosted last weekend.

The Bulldogs beat Majesty, 40-22, in the first round, then beat Somerset, 29-26, in overtime in the semifinals before beating Wesley, 29-26, in the title game.

Cornerstone’s Jacob Tipton was named the most valuable player of the tourney. He was joined on the all-tournament team by fellow Bulldogs Nate Oates and Christian Lopesilvero.
