Charles Lee Davis III is running for constable in Shelby County’s District 4.
Davis, a Democrat, is a life-long resident of Shelby County, with a family that dates back five generations in the county.
He said he was inspired to run for constable by his family heritage and tradition for the political arena, as his great-uncle, Drex Davis, was Kentucky Treasurer and Secretary of State in the 1980s.
“I believe I can represent the 4th District well as your constable,” he said. “I have been interested in politics for many years, and I believe I can bring integrity, dedication and fresh view to the constable’s position.
“If elected, I vow to respect the people of the 4th District to the best of my ability.”
Davis lives on Narrow Gage Pike with his sons, Timothy, 16, and Leef, 11.
He is a graduate of Shelby County High School and the University of Kentucky.
He worked with the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife before starting his own business, Davis and Sons All Weather Insulation, LLC.
He is a founding member of Quail Forever, Bluegrass chapter, and a long-time member of the National Rifle Association and has obtained a conceal-and-carry permit.
Davis and his family are active members of Burks Branch Baptist Church on Fox Run Road.
