Mount Eden Saddle Club

Boy Scouts/Cub Scouts
Boy Scout Troop 137 and Cub Scout Pack 137 will be having a fish fry/silent auction 5-7 p.m. Aug. 16 at the Finchville Baptist Church. The cost is $7 per person. Tickets can be purchased at the door. All proceeds go to the troop and the pack.

Fish fry dates
The Lake Shelby Fish Fry is 5:30-8 p.m. the third Friday of each month through September at the lake main shelter. Upcoming dates are Aug. 15 and Sept. 19 (Price, $8.50, or a la carte).

ACT Now Ministries
Small Groups will begin in August for people of all ages, races, backgrounds, religions and non-religious for group discussion. Volunteers of all ages may work about 10 hours each week in our ACT Now Against Domestic Violence Program to serve as program facilitators, mentors and counselors. The Family Activity Center at Clear Creek Park is offering Tumble Time for children. Cathy Wilhoit, certified fitness instructor, will lead the classes. There are classes for 2-3 year olds, 4-5 year olds, and 6-8 year olds. Call the FAC office for more information, 633-5059.

Shelby County Cyclists is in its first year of activity and offers rides for all levels of cyclists and will offer instructional rides in the future. The Shelby County Salvation Army Unit is located at the Victory Baptist Church building on Main Street in Shelbyville. New operating hours are 2:30-4:30 p.m. Tuesday-Friday. Applications will be received and reviewed only during those times. New guidelines for the Angel Tree will soon be released.
ALC Pregnancy Resource Center
The center offers free pregnancy testing, confidential peer counseling and information on all choices in an unplanned pregnancy, baby and maternity clothing and equipment, parenting and cooking classes and referrals to local resources. All our services are free and open to anyone. Center hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays, 2-6 p.m. Wednesdays and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursdays. No appointment is necessary.
