The Shelby County girls’ basketball team hung tough against an experienced Tates Creek squad for nearly three quarters Tuesday night.
Eventually, though, the Rockets couldn’t overcome the battle-tested Commodores, falling 72-55 in Lexington.
“We put together two and a half excellent quarters but they just made plays with their talent and experience [at the end],” said Shelby County Coach Mike Sowers, whose team was down by only one point (31-30) at halftime.
