The Collins High School baseball team had struggled at the plate all night Tuesday, trailing underdog Simon Kenton 5-1 and headed into the 6th inning of the 8th Region Baseball Tournament semifinal game at Henry County High School.

But maybe a 19 hour break is just what they need.

After umpires spotted lightning in the distance, the game was called and rescheduled for Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. back at Henry County. The 8th Region Championship game has also been moved back one day. The winner of the Titans and Pioneers will play Anderson County on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. The Bearcats upended Carroll County 5-1.
