The Rockets improved to 2-0 on the road Wednesday, and Logan Hall’s first-half goal was the difference.
“Not a very pretty game to watch,” said Rockets Coach Joe Turner, whose team has outscored its first two foes, 8-0. “We had way more scoring opportunities and didn't take advantage of them. We outshot them, nineteen to four. Defensively we didn't communicate very well and had a bunch of coverage errors.
“On the up side, we didn't give up a single corner kick for the second straight game, and we proved that we can be a little off our game and still play well enough to win.”
Shelby County hosts Bourbon County (1-1) in its home debut at 11 a.m. Saturday. The Rockets then host Atherton at 5:30 p.m. Monday.
