Next school year most colleges in the state and across the nation will increase their tuition by an average of 9 percent.
That increase might make some parents think that college is out of reach for their child, but one local parent is hoping to shed some light on how to lower the price of higher education.
Patti Wilson, a mother of two, will host a college information forum next week in order to instruct prospective college students and their parents in the art of how to get academic scholarships.
