Clark wedding

Linda Susan DeBakey and Allen Tomas Clark were married Saturday, May 12, 2012, at Highland Baptist Church in Shelbyville.

The bride is the daughter of Douglas DeBakey of Houston, Texas, and Claire Kuperberg DeBakey of Columbia, Md. The groom is the son of Rev. Allen P. and Ana Clark of Shelbyville.

The bride and the groom are both graduates of the University of the Cumberlands (2011/2012),  and Fred Cummings, the university’s associate professor of religion, was the presiding minister at the double-ring service.

Vocalist Olivia Scholl provided wedding music singing, “Take My Life and Let It Be Consecrated,” “How Deep Is God’s Love” and “The Lord’s Prayer.”

Serving as maids of honor were Erin Drum of Columbia, Md., and Samantha Terry of Philadelphia, Pa. Bridesmaids were Kirsten Cooper and Mary Gottschalk, both of Columbia, Md. Cousins of the groom, Shelby and Riane Clark of Bardstown, served as guestbook attendants.

The best man was Alan Haven of Shelbyville. Groomsmen were Jordan Gossett of Somerset, Zack Stroub of Mount Sterling and Corey Chaffin of Etna, Ohio. Serving as ushers were the groom’s cousins, Aaron Clark of Lebanon Junction and Eli Clark of Bardstown.

Following a wedding trip to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, the couple will reside in Oneida, where they are employed by the Oneida Baptist Institute.
