The Youth Ministry will plant and maintain a community garden this spring and summer, donating 100 percent of the vegetables to anyone needing them.

In observance of Senior Adult Sunday, a lunch for senior adults will be held at Claudia Sanders Dinner House following the morning worship service. The evening worship hour is cancelled. Cropper Baptist
The youth are planning several fundraisers to raise money for camp. A car wash will be on May 18, leaving the church at 9 a.m. There will be a Luau at the Christian Life Center at 5 p.m. May 18. The cost will be $5 per person, and donations will also be accepted. There will be a fellowship meal after church on May 19. Lambs of Christ will go to Masonic Home on May 19 after lunch.

Finchville Baptist
Missionfuge – The Big Picture is coming. Youth camp will be July 15-19 at the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg. A $75 deposit is required. An offering for North American Missions in support of its Whatever It Takes program will be taken. This is the annual Annie Armstrong offering, which supports all mission efforts in North America. Offering envelopes are in the pew racks. Help reach the goal of $1,750. Vacation Bible School will be from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. June 2- 6. Kingdom Rock will have your kids joining in “sciencey” fun gizmos, team-building games, cool Bible songs and tasty treats. Children will also participate in a hands-on mission project and will also discover how to see evidence of God in everyday life – something we call God Sightings. The Missions Committee will meet in Fellowship Hall after the 11 a.m. worship service. A team of workers will be sent to West Liberty June 16-21 to help complete seven homes that have been built to replace those destroyed by the tornado of 2012. People interested in helping with hanging siding, building porches and general construction work are asked to bring their tools and hands ready for labor. Housing and meals will be furnished. A meeting for those interested will be after the 11 a.m. worship service on May 19. The church is a collection site for Edge Outreach Shoes for Water. Donations of new and used shoes to Edge Outreach create clean drinking water for people in need. Shoes of all types are acceptable – from flip-flops to high heels, from boots to football cleats. FCC is also collecting used hearing-aid batteries, coupons – current or expired, cancelled postage stamps, pop tops from aluminum cans and current magazines for mission projects.
