The third Sunday of Lent, the pastor's message will be "Because Personal Holiness Should Result in Social Holiness," taken from Mark, chapter 12. Quilters meets from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday at the church. God's Kitchen Team meets at 9:45 a.m. on Thursday to prepare the meal to be served at 11:30 a.m. The CYF will host the annual men's breakfast on March 29. Kevin Burney will speak about how to handle conflicts like a Godly man. This time is an opportunity for fathers and sons to breakfast together and invite a friend to join in this time of fellowship. There will be a small fee for members but visitor’s breakfast is free. Mountain Mission Truck will arrive at Centenary on March 31, collecting items for the Mission Home. All types of family clothing and household cleaning materials are needed. Items should be packaged securely and placed on the third floor mission area.

The Stations of the Cross may be viewed from 6 to 7 p.m. every Friday through April 11 and on April 17.SC3, the Shelby County Community Children's Choir, will present its Beatles concert at 7:30 p.m. Sunday. The CWF will have tables up March 23 and will officer cutlery, pecans, brooms, baked goods and homemade pimento cheese and Benedictine for sale. The church is a collection site for Edge Outreach Shoes for Water. Donations of new and used shoes create clean drinking water for people in need. Shoes of all types are acceptable – from flip-flops to high heels, from boots to football cleats. FCC also is collecting used hearing-aid batteries, box tops, Campbell’s labels, eyeglasses, plastic bags (Kroger, Walmart, etc.), coupons (current or expired), canceled postage stamps, pop tops from aluminum cans and current magazines for mission projects. St. James Episcopal
There will be a congregation discussion on future programs following the service on Sunday. Lunch will be provided. Eucharist is held each Sunday at 10 a.m., and childcare is available. Fred Moffatt will lead a Bible study at 12:15 p.m. each Wednesday, followed by a light potluck lunch. This study is open to all interested persons. Outreach programs continue for those in need for the collection of seasonal clothing, bedding and shoes, the collection of aluminum cans, and the collection of non-perishable food.
